After the Red Devils, a second team subscribed for the next Turicum Open in 2015 - Jokerit from Helsinki.

With Jokerit the topscorer of the last Turicum Open 2012 is coming back to the tournament 2015 - welcome Mikael Toivonen. The team will play with players of the second Finnish division led by the scorer himself. We are really happy to have again a team from Finland at the start.

Because the Turicum Open 2014 had to be cancelled due to several some concurrent major sport events (Floorball world championship, student world championship, Olympic Games, Soccer world championship), we plan a tournament restart for 2015 (May 15 to 17).

We are currently in contact with the following interested teams:

• Czech Team (Winner 2008, 2010, 2012) – Fun-Team with current and former national players
• Germany Selection (3rd place 2008, 2nd place 2010) – German Team with the Mucha brothers
• Red Devils (2nd place 2008, 3rd place 2010, 3rd place 2012) – Home Team
• Team USA Selection (5th place 2008, 5th place 2012) – Mostly US national players
• Floorball 4all (first participation) – Promotion team Floorball for street kids

Unfortunately, the Turicum Open 2014 had to be cancelled. Although sponsors, referees, and other volunteers were ready, we had to postpone our beloved tournament.

The reason for that is the heavy loaded floorball year 2014 (world championship, world championship qualification, student world championship, soccer world championship, Olympia). Therefore, in 2014, floorball enthusiasts are simply too short in time.

Some national teams asked us to delay the tournament to unequal years – we try to do that.
In any case, we would like to thank all volunteers that already helped us so far and look forward to a hopefully successful Turicum Open 2015.

The delegation from the Czech Republic will participate also the fourth time at the Turicum Open – 2008, 2010 and 2012 the won the title.
Players like Sikora, Zalesny, Ostransky, Skalik, Ostransky, Trnavsky, Cepek or Jakubek were part of the team in the past. So the Czech team is again the outstanding favourite team and will provide for much spectacle and pleasure. We are really happy to welcome this attractive team again in Egg.

Fourth participation for the Red Devils team. In the first three editions they won once the silver medal (2008) and twice the bronze medal (2010, 2012). Also they won the Gotthard Tunnel Contest with Christoph Widler and Simon Suter. With Florian Bolliger a Swiss international player is a part of the team - the Red Devils always guarantee a great show and great floorball.

The next Turicum Open will take place in 2014 - 30th of May to 1st of June - in Egg near Zurich. The organisation is in full swing to present a great floorball tournament with special teams in a friendly atmosphere, similar to the ice hockey Spengler-Cup in Davos.

Last weekend, the 3rd Turicum Open took place. And for the third time, we are very happy to consider it a success.

As in the first two editions, floorball ‘stars’ like Vojtech Skalik, Ales Zalesny, Radek Sikora, or Marek Lebl (all of them already won medals at the world championship with the Czech national team) or regional players representing Switzerland at next weeks student world championships in Prague (Florian Bolliger, Joel Friolet).

Winner for the third time in a row was Team Czech. This time they defeated the likeable offensive Lönsboda IBK from Sweden. Showing refreshing floorball and fantastic combinations, this team was definitely a positive surprise for our tournament. Bronze medal winner was the home team Red Devils Pfannenstiel, winning already their third Turicum Open medal. Lead by a strong playing Florian Bolliger they won the small final against Team USA Selection with 6:3. Further placed were Absolut Floorball from Czech, MoPS from Finland, UHC Laupen, Squadra Azzurra from Italy, Zigerbögg and Team France.

The Gotthard Tunnel Contest won Simon Suter (Red Devils Pfannenstiel). In the final he defeated Michael Binder from Team USA Selection.

The home team Red Devils Pfannenstiel newly dressed to win? The new white Walter-shirts were preduced by Wikingsports Winterthur an give the players a noble look. We hope they'll play accordingly...

Due to the currently ongoing students world championships, titleholder Team Czech will play with some Swiss players, amongst them Sandro Dominioni from Alligator Malans, a former Swiss national player. Nonetheless, Team Czech with Sikora, Skalik, Zalesny, etc. is once again absolute favourite and the team to defeat.

All players are current or former italian players already having worn the blue jersey. Most know are probably SML goal keeper Renato Petro ( Kloten-Bülach Jets) and Diego Casagrande (formerly Waldkirch-St.Gallen, now Floorball Thurgau). Team coach is Michael Frötscher. We welcome the Italians at their first appearance in Egg.

UHC Laupen nominated 23 players. Therby, some young players will get the chance to play in the tournament. The team has no special star, but players like the Zangerl brothers or Keller guarantee a high quality offense.

The french team comprises 11 former or active french national players. The most know players are Jérôme Andermatt and the talented Claudio Henry. In addition, the team will be strengthened by some Swiss players, amongst them SML players Nicolas Pulfer from Rychenberg Winterthur.

Team MoPS (Monninkylän Palloseura) comes with a well experienced team with players from the finnish team Porvoon Salibandyseuran from the 2nd Division. Team USA Selection is a mix of national players from USA and the swiss NLB team Zürisee Unihockey. Last but not least the team Absolut Floorball is built on Czech 1st league TJ Sokol Kralovske Vinohrady.

The home team Red Devils comprises current and former players from UHC Pfannenstiel. While some players like Raphael Jendly and Claudio Alborghetti are still part of the Pfannenstil-squad, others like the Bolliger-brothers, Tim Bartenstein or Pa Weber now play for the SML team UHC Uster. In the first two Turicum Open the team ranked 2nd and 3rd - Teamsite.

Now also the current schedule is online on the homepage. Each team will play at least 6 games.
The opening game of the tournament is the game between Lönsboda IBK and the UHC Laupen.

Now, the groups are formed. There are two main groups, both groups consists five teams. The group forming process was notarized and cannot be challenged by legal steps. For an animated result, please find the attached movie. The playing schedule can be viewed online in a few days.

Yesterday, the swiss first division team UHC Laupen signed for our tournament. Some of their players reinforced last time the Liechtenstein Selects and placed in the fourth rank.

This team comprises players from Glarus, mainly playing in the Swiss National League B. Some of them like already team leader Florian Muhl or Mark von Wartburg wore the Red Devil-shirt before. The squad is ambitious and is definitly a candidate for a place on the podium.

Lönsboda IBK has reported 14 players from Sweden's first division. This team is certainly one of the tournament favorites - For the team list, see here.

Meanwhile, 8 teams from 7 countries (Switzerland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, USA, France and Italy) registered for the Turicum Open 2012. With a view on the player lists, we are proud to announce the so far strongest field of participants. At the moment we have still 2 starting positions for our participation field of 10 teams - to the teams.

The tournament gives us the possibility to do something for the global development in the floorball sport. During the tournament we collect in co-operation with the association “Unihockey für Strassenkinder” all kinds of floorball material. Finally we distribute it to motivated children around the world.
In case of having old sticks, balls, masks etc., please bring it to the collecting point. With your help you do something for the foreign aid.

We are happy to announce for first time the Squadra Azzura. The team consists of a selection of Italian national players, mainly from the Iron Marmots Davos-Klosters and from the Jona-Uznach Flames. The Italians finished the last World Cup as 12th. For the team list, see here.

Lönsboda IBK will be our first visitor from Sweden. The team plays in the division 1 Södra Götaland. The squad is young and talented and knows with Matthias Andersson and Kim Johanssonwith two outstanding scorers in it's row. For the team list, see here. It's a great pleasure for us to welcome onther scandinavian squad. For us it's the prove that our small but nice tournament is appreciated not only amongs it's founders.

Third participation for Team Czech. They won the the first two editions without even losing one single point. We are very happy to announce a team with Sikora, Zalesny, Ostransky, Skalik and other players guaranteeing spectacle and show - to the teamsite.

L'Equipe de France nous visitera pour la deuxième fois. Quelle honeur. The French were not be able to provide a special effort at the world cup qualification in February. In the strong group with Norway, Danmark, Germany, Belgium and Spain, they could only win against the Spanish Team. In the unofficial world ranking they are currently classified on the 22nd place.

On the Turicum Open 2010 they received the 7th place and they also had an astonishing performance during the first TO in 2008 by defeating the home team Red Devils.
We are very pleased to announce this assignment and are hoping for more surprising appearances.

With the beginning of February 2012 a fourth team has signed for the tournament. The Team USA Selection will participate with former and actual internationals mainly playing in different European leagues. It's an honor for us to have a team from the other side of the Atlantic at the Turicum Open.

Last week the US-Team defeated Canada two times - 7:4 and 8:7. Both teams qualified for the World Championships in Switzerland because Team Brazil withdrew it’s participation.

New on the site are some interesting excursions in the area of Egg - to the overview.

Many interesting teams are looking forward for a participation in May 2012 - to the teams. We hope to welcome all of them.

The Czech team Absolut Floorball signed for the Turicum Open 2012. The squad won the Austrian Open 2009 and lost the final in 2008. Furthermore they won the Lumberjacks Cup in Rosenheim in 2011.
The team is built on Czech 1st league TJ Sokol Kralovske Vinohrady and few guests.
The field of participants includes another prominent member. We look forward to other exciting participants.

After the Red Devils, a second team subscribed for the next Turicum Open in 2012. MoPS (Monninkylän Palloseura) is our first guest from Finland. They won the Lumberjacks Cup in Rosenheim in 2010 and placed third at the Marselisborg Cup in Aarhus. Team leader and team-topscorer is Mikael Toivonen.

The second Turicum Open was a success in all aspects. Defending champion Team Czech once again played a fantastic hockey and won the tournament in an impressive manner. Due to a close result in the final, the czech are over all a more than deserved champion. Runner up and 2:4-loser in the final was the team Germany Selection. Kind of a surprise was the third place of the home team Red Devils Davos-Zurich. Forth became the astonishing Liechtenstein Selects, fifth the secret favourite Züri Oberland Selects and sixth the spanish team Los Toros. Further places were Team France - after playing a surprisingly well Sunday - the german team ESV Ingolstadt and Bern Regio 02. The high level of this years tournament is also reflected by an All-Star-Team mixed with well known players form national teams and young talented players from the region.

Bern Regio 02 reinforces itself by the swiss national player Marc Mühlethaler. Mühlerthaler won a few moth ago with his team Unihockey Tigers Langnau the swiss cup and 2008 the bronce medal at the world championships.

Bern Regio 02 comes with a well experienced team an will rely on it's volition and team and fighting spirit. Team Liechtenstein Selection is a mix of national players from Liechtenstein and the swiss first division team UHC Laupen. Last but not least nominated last time 3rd placed Germany Selection several german national players and on form Estonia. The most known players are maybe the Mucha brothers and Gahlert.

Team Czech once again surpises us by nominating a squad with 8 current and 3 former national players. Among them the two Turicum Open All Star players Adam Stegl and Martin Ostransky. Unfortunately top scorer Ales Zalesny wont be able to play. Due to an injury he wont score but coach the team. The team guarantees spectacular floorball and is definitly the team to beat.

The squad for this years Red Devils team consists primarily of young players from UHC Pfannenstiel supplemented by some well known old hand Red Devils as Claudio Alborghetti, Danny Käppeli, Fabian Roth or Chrigi Maurer. Last time runner up Red Devils is eager to at least repeat this performance, but the strong entry list wont make this just an easy walk (in the Kirchwies).

The Züri Oberland Selects are more or less in accordance with the SML newcomer UHC Uster. A special focus will be on their scorers Roberto Vizzini (new national player Switzerland) and Thomas Aellig as well as on former red devils defender and comeback-man Christoph "Stöö" Widler (nominated for the Turicum Open All-Star-Team 2008 and winner of the first Turicum Open Tunnel Contest).

The French squad is more or less the same as the team that played surprisingly well during the recent world cup qualification.

Los Toros counts on the skills of 3 spanish national players and several routined swiss NLB-players.

The ESV Ingolstadt is kind of a showbag (yet). Their best scorers are teammanager Roland Albrecht and Björn Konieczny from Sweden.

This game is a floorball version of the Panna Knock-Out known from soccer.

The length of the field is about 5 meters. See pic on the right.

Rules
The normal floorball rules are valid. But there are also some exceptions:
• One against one
• Dribbling between the opponents legs (tunnel) and scoring in one = knock-out
• After fouls or if the ball exits the field, the defending player has to stand back in front of his goal
• One goal = one point
• After having scored a goal, the other player gets the ball
• Game time: 2 minutes
• Draw after 2 minutes > Sudden-Death

Another participant confirmed it's attendance at ou tournament - Bern Regio 02. Two years ago their forwards Sam Schneiter and Kalle Berglund gave their opponents lots of difficulties. Who will be this years topscorer?

Although some players had to resign their participation, Team Los Toros still guarantees kind of a southern flair in Egg. This mixed team of players from Spain, Montenegro and Switzerland (mainly from Jona-Uznach Flames) seem to represent high floorball quality and will definitly be an enrichment for out tournament.

As seventh squaf the natonal team of Liechtensteinis gonna participate at this years TO. Liechtenstein is ranked 30th in the inofficial Floorball world ranking and will be enforcfed by a few players from swiss first league team UHC Laupen.

The 4 licensed and official referess paris for the tournament are Gregory Meier / Raymond Meier, Joel Mattle / Jan Berchtold, Giorgio-Luigi Schmid / Roman Koller und Raphel Brägger / Adrian Blatter. We thank them very much in advance for their volunteer work and are happy to guarantee such a high arbitrator level.
Summary of Referees

We thank Migros Kulturprozent and Rhyner Fachhandel AG for sponsoring our second tournament edition. Rhyner agreed to provide some prices in order to honor the best players of each game.

Liechtenstein, Bern Regio 02, Team Italia and an international selection mainly from Jona-Uznach Flames players are the possible teams to complete the enbtry list. Unfortunately unable to attend this yeras competition are Team USA and TVZ Wikings Zell am See.

With ESV Ingolstadt a second german team signed for our tournament. Ingolstadt normally plays in the 2nd german league east and is also known as promoter of the Bavarian Open. The team consists mainly of german players and is strenghtened by some Scandinavians.

Team number 6 are the Zurich Oberland Selects. As the name already indicates, this team will be a mix of players from SML-newcomer UHC Uster and the Züri Oberland Pumas. We are pleased to announce a second team from our region, last but not least in order to guarantee a bit of derby atmosphere.

We are delighted to announce the assignment of the first invited squad. Last time semi-finalist Germany Selection has acceppted the invitation and will participate at the Turicum Open 2010. The team consists among others of a few current and former german national and SML players such as Andreas Gahlert (GC Unihockey/SML) and Manuel and Dominic Mucha (Stawi Olten, 1st league - former HC Rychenberg Winterthur / UHC Grünenmatt).

We are excited about the performance of the Germans.

Two years ago in the first Turicum Open, the Red Devils took surprinsingly the second place. They lost only in the final against an astonishing czech squad.

The next Turicum Open will take place on May 8/9, 2010 in Egg/ZH. The organisation is in full swing.

The organisation commitee has decided to handle the Turicum Open as a special event. Therefore the tournament will (for the present) not take place annually. For the circumstances of the time and due to financial reasons, the Turicum Open reached it's current capacity limit. The next tournament is foreseen in spring 2010. We hope to be able to present you then a successfull tournament with strong teams, famous and generous sponsors and a lot of spectators.

The past weekend the Turicum Open took place. In the eyes of the organisation committee the tournament was a great success. Although it was held for the first time, many high skilled players of all over the world have participated and were responsible for tense and entertaining matches. The Open was won by the Czech team which, among others, played with nine silver medal winners of the 2004 world cup. In the tournament's final they bet the Red Devils Zurich. The game for the thrid place was won by the German in a tight game over the Austrian champion Zell am See only at penalties. The ranking is completed by the USA Floorball Tigers, Bern Regio 02, Unihockey Igels Dresden and the French national team.

Further I would like to say thank you to the teams United Lakers Konstanz and Fribourg. Those strove also for a participation. But the fastest were Bern Regio 02.

Now also the nominations of the Team Tschechien (teamsite) and the Red Devils (teamsite) for the tournament are online. The Team Tschechien will start with an outstanding nomination. This team is surely worth an attendance.

For the team VfL TraKtor Bova will be nominated a spare team, because they haven't enough players for the tournament.

The tournament gives us the possibility to do something for the global development in the floorball sport. During the tournament we collect in co-operation with the association “Unihockey für Strassenkinder” all kinds of floorball material. Finally we distribute it to motivated children around the world.
In case of having old sticks, balls, masks etc., please bring it to the collecting point. With your help you do something for the foreign aid.
We would be very appreciated if you supported our relief action.

Now, the groups are formed. There are two main groups. Each of them consists of four teams. The group forming process was notarized and cannot be challenged by legal steps. For an animated result, please find the attached Power Point presentation. The playing schedule can be viewed online in a few days.

The german team completes the tournament board. Among others, it is composed of former and current internationals. Former NLA goalkeeper Michael Schuster, Dominic and Manuel Mucha from HC Rychenberg Winterthur are propably the best known.

The next team we are honored to announce is TVZ Wikings Zell am See. The Austrians won their national championships 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Last year they lost the playoff-final. Furthermore they won 2006 the Lumberjacks-Cups in Rosenheim and ended the 2006 Europacup as 9th best team.

In Zell am See also played some Swiss Legionnaires like Richard Novak, Marc Brändli and Thierry Perriard. Furthermore a few members of the Austrian national team take the field for the Wikings.

A delegation from the Czech Republic will participate at the Turicum Open 2008. The Czech team is already the sixth registered participant and until now the most famous team. At the moment there is still an opening for 2 to 4 teams.
The team consists of players from the Czech national team; some of them are playing in Switzerland like Radim Cepek, Radek Sikora or Ales Zalesny.
The Team Tschechien is the outstanding favourite team and will provide for much spectacle and pleasure. We are really happy to welcome this attractive team in Egg.

Another team has signed for the Turicum Open. The Equipe de France announced today their participation. We are very pleased to present l'équipe tricolore in Egg.

Unihockey Igels Dresden will participate at the Turicum Open. Dresden is among the top 12 teams in Germany and plays in the second Bundesliga. In last year's Lumberjacks-Cup in Rosenheim they lost twice against the Red Devils and finally achieved the fifth place.

With the beginning of 2008 a third team has signed for the tournament. The USA Floorball Tigers will participate with former and actual internationals mainly playing in different european leagues. The USA Floorball Tigers will make its second appearance in Egg after a friendly game before the world championship in Switzerland.

The organisation is getting up to speed. Already 3 referee-pairs have been nominated and a few sponsoring-contracts are nearly set up. Considering the participants, we are in contact with teams all over Europe. The first teams are expected to sign soon.

In the meantime, a few teams and refrees have been contacted.
