Rules of the game

The rules of the IFF (International Floorball Federation) will be applied at the Turicum Open. You can find the IFF-rules in the download section.

Exceptions:
• No time stop during game interruptions
• No time-out

Tournament mode

The teams will be divided into groups. In each group, the teams play against each other. According to the table after the group phase, k.o.-rounds and eventually classification games will be played.

Point distribution during the group phase:
Victory 3 Points
Draw 1 Point
Loss 0 Point

Guidelines for the classification at equality of points:

  1. Goal difference.
  2. Goals scored
  3. Points from the direct face off
  4. Goal difference from the direct face off
  5. Goals scored from the direct face off
  6. Penalty shoot out

KO-rounds

Should games of the k.o.- or classification-round end with a draw after regular time, the winner will be determined by penalties according to the IFF rules..

Number of players

To start a game, you must have at least a goalkeeper and five fieldplayers.

A player can only play in one team, disregarding of this will be punished by withdrawing points.

Playerlist

The list of players has to be sent until 2nd of may 2014 by E-Mail to info@turicumopen.ch. If after ths date any changes occur, please let us know.

Dresses

The shirts of a team have to be the same and if possible the shorts as well.
In case two teams with similar dresses play against each other, the second listed has to change the dress.

Referees

Games will be arbitrated by official referees of Swiss Unihockey (SUHV).
The referee’s decisions have to be respected.

Protest

The intention to protest shall be noted in the Match Record directly after the match and the protest shall be handed to the Jury within 30 minutes from the end of the match concerned.
A protest must be written, signed and followed by the amount of 50 sFr., which will only be returned if the protest is approved.

Decisions of the refrees are decisions based on facts against which no protest can be handed in.

Walk over

Teams sanctioned with a walk over are considered to have lost the match by 0-5.
If the goal difference is greater, the higher score is upheld.

Insurance
The insurance is cause of the participants, the organising committee assumes no responsibility.
